Newquay St Piran's Day Parade
The Newquay St Piran's Day parade will meet from 3:30pm on Wednesday 5th March at Beachfield Gardens near Towan Beach. Starting at 4.00pm the parade will be led by Cornish Piper Merv Davey, with Newquay Old Cornwall Society, supported by schools, councillors, community organisations and numerous other community, music & dance groups. All are most welcome to join in!
The parade will pass up Beach Road into Central Square and Bank Street, ending at the bottom of Marcus Hill outside the Council Offices. There will then be a Junior Cornish Ceilidh at St Michael's Church for children with performances of songs and dancing from local schools, choral support from Oll an Gwella and dance support from U3A Cornish Dancers.
